I don't know if my idea was posted by another one before.
But anyway, what about a skill that allows you to deal damage with one hit to all monsters that surround you?
You could finish that battle faster and it would become easier. THAT SHOULD ONLY WORK WITH CRITICAL HITS TO THE FIRST MONSTER!
For example, the skill could have two steps in total. At each step, you can hit one more opponent with your weapon . At the second step, you can hit three monsters:
You hit the first monster with a critical hit, second and third one gets base damage.

What prerequisites???

Great idea, why not add a quest in which you help an assassin and to reward you he gives you a special training with some weapons (multi-hits, hits all around you, dual-wielding, new weapons.)

Ian: Awsome idea!

I like the idea that is has to do with getting a critical hit.

Pre-req ideas: More crits, Duel Weapons, combat speed, maybe even a base AD of XX.

i was also thinking it should eat up more AP than normal?

this also has me thinking...

since we have finally "categorized weapons",
maybe only certain weapons can access certain skills?

like, say - this should be impossible with a dagger...

This would be a cool status effect for the "heavy weapons" that have a really high AP cost to use. Might make them a lil more useful for tight situations.

I think a skill like this can be categorized into three possibilities;

1: You are quick enough with your weapon to stab, cut, slash, hack, at all of your enemies before they can react. This should have a high ap cost, and since you have to be quick, let's say three levels of evasion.

2: You are strong enough to CLEAVE right through your opponents, whirling around in an arc of death to cut right through them all. This should have one level of cleave as requirement, at least 10 base damage, too.

3: You are good enough with your hands to sneak right through the gaps of your opponent's flailing weapons (I've only heard about that, never seen it) and attack their pressure points before withdrawing your hands unharmed again. This should be the hardest option, so let's say 4 levels of an unarmed skill, 2 combat speed, and maybe a level in dodge and evasion, so that you can weave your hand through dangerous points without having it cut off.
