I'm skeptical now on whether its worth it or not since there's no real way to tell for sure. For allwe know MF could be a placebo out to troll us

Congrats, it is really good (and confusing) feeling when you finally get one.Kruncha wrote:I got My RolS![]()
1393 rocks and MF 2 - so it seems it does help. I was really shocked when it dropped, was beginning to think they really are legendary
Got another one, 325 rocks this time, MF still +2.Sarumar wrote:Congrats, it is really good (and confusing) feeking ehen you finally get one.Kruncha wrote:I got My RolS![]()

Got to agree, I didn't realize how much it helped (+2 MF) until I made a new character, He has no MF and has been imprisoned In the Gargoyle Cavern for an eternity (I'm not letting him out till he gets a RoLSMino wrote:On my newer game (which is relative since he's now at level 97), I just went with level 2 for Magic Finder (compared to level 10 on my first build), and it already seemed to help.
Soon after using my skill point on level 2, I got the SRoV, after already getting 2 VSH. And I got a RoLS after around 400 small rocks, and that includes when I tried to grind for it without any magic finder, and this was after just a few hours of game play. I was able to get 2 VSH, 1 ChaR, and 1 ShaF without any MF, but it seemed to help for the SRoV and definitely for the RoLS.
I've got a saved game, lvl 18, no quests done, nearly all equipment sold and profits drunk (potions) and starts at home. He starts with the normal stuff: cloth shirt, club, mikhails ring + a RoLS (heh, heh). Oh, and only two skill points spent (Fortitude 1, Regen 1). I now have a starting point for different types of build without having to do the RoLS grinding (woo hoo).fiernaq wrote:Heh, I'm still holding out... would rather not put points into MF since I only want a single RoLs and that's it (I don't plan on grinding for any other leg/ext items). However, I did grow bored of the gargoyle caves and left to clear the Prim/BWM area and now that that's finished I'm off to the Iquan caves for a bit. I'll eventually go back to the gargoyle caves but I think by that point I'll switch to the save/reload tactic rather than wasting time trying to lvl in there. And yes, while I think MF is probably worth getting for most people, since I only want one item I'll probably just do without so I can put skill points into other things.
No, Mikhail...Kruncha wrote:I've got a saved game, lvl 18, no quests done, nearly all equipment sold and profits drunk (potions) and starts at home.
