Is Magicfinder Useful or Useless?

I like it the way it is, it's very useful.

I have MF 4 and still no RoLS with 1719 small rocks in my collection...still grinding!

If persistence of this nature is what it takes to make an item feel legendary then why can some people find it with only a few hundred small rocks? Surely, they must not be able to appreciate their RoLs as much as someone who grinds several thousand small rocks before finding a RoLs. Ah lady chance... such a fickle and unfair mistress. If only effort was rewarded evenly :(

I've been lucky and unlucky in RoLS, but if I focus on the unlucky, it only brings on the blues...
