What kills me?

I'm level 29, now walking around the area with the izthiels, frogs and red larval stuff.
When coming to the red larval near those stairs, I suddenly get killed instantly. What kills me?

we are working on something that slows down the death sequence,
so you know what killed you / how you died...

im not sure if we ever solidified this,
but we have intentions of letting the game hang on the last line of text
-just before you die-

so that when you wake up in bed,
you actually had a chance to read what happened in the text field.

anyways, back to your question...
it sounds like something was behind a pillar or rock or tree,
and then attacked you, maybe even got you with a critical hit?

i have died there too, and it was usually a surprise...
but there is a reason for that!!!

these red larval burrowers are guarding something NICE!!!

so, YES - they are tough...
and yes, very lethal if you aren't keeping your head up!

i will walk one of my lower level builds over there & see if i can isolate the issue.

I got an Oegyth crystal from them (I think it was from them?). Listed as a quest item, but I've yet to figure out what it does exactly.

Those burrowers can do upto 50 points of damage in single round and if i remember correct there are one really hard monster near..

there are only like, five or six of them in the whole game...
and they will be used to trade for things.

random example:

get one - reward
get three - better reward
get five - best reward

the rewards are not in the game yet,
but they will be in the future...

only certain monsters drop them,
and the ones that do drop them are very tough!!!

btw, I noticed from a search here that the Oegyth crystals do nothing yet. Is there something else there that they are guarding that I missed?

Level 29 you say, just keep on going for south and east, then south (irdegh) and east and finally north (bugs, spiders) and worce, ofterside you meet some more problems if the journey was not hard enough

Sometimes when i rush thru that area I will get a bunch of Bleeding wounds or Poisonings and my HP will drop like a stone.
