I agree, burnt ash definitely comes from other NPCs, even in the same area as the ash spawn. I currently have 462 burnt ash from grinding for a GoW. My Magic Finder level is at 4, yet still no GoW. This is obviously possible, yet if the ash spawn were the only monsters dropping the burnt ash, the probability that I would not find a GoW after all of the ash I found is 0.000112%. There would be a greater chance of me finding a legendary item in a single drop. In other words, I am getting far more burnt ash than what is dropped by the ash spawns, making burnt ash a poor measure item. By my estimate, only about 10% of the burnt ash I am finding is actually coming from the ash spawn. If that were the case, it is actually reasonable that I have not yet found a GoW (more than a 25% chance).Antison wrote:I just got my first GoW after looting 11 reinforced black axes and 20 burnt ash, but those drops also came from other NPCs.
