I say no way. Exploring at your own risk is half of what makes the game great!!
Let's not deter others from enjoying the exploration.
I agree I'm still trying to think of a great way to help newbies get the hang of the game without getting frustrated. It can be very tough to get your bearings the first time you play the game.

Gaaah, those damn flies, they're EVERYWHERE!!!
Warning
What lies beyond those flies can be a tough time for a lv17.
I agree. Will maybe try again now (lvl24) after stacking up with BMP and meat.
Goodluck with the green mazebut....
You might want to stack up on more BMP and get some gear in the Cross Road shop.
If we take the find Andor quest as a golden thread in the game, the next logical thing after Loneford is to search for Lodar. But, alas, that looks really really out of reach at that level in the game.
I feel kind of lost because of that.

Yes, i couldn't agree more. I got lost in that part of the game aswell, but not for long though, since my uncle has played AT for a long time, and I just had to text him and ask some questions, then I got on track again.
If you want some ideas (SPOILERS!!!!) check this out:
Have you been to Remgard? Remgard is easier to reach then Lodar, even though, im my own story, I heard of Remgard long after Lodar.
Doing quests in Loneford? Guardhouse? Been to BWM/Prim?
Basicly, just keep exploring and talk to every npc you can possibly find.

Agreed, 100%. Most areas do already have warnings, in the sense that you can't get to the really bad stuff, because there's some less bad stuff blocking your way. That's enough of a warning (OK, at least it should be, but I admit that I did not always heed such warnings, and paid the price ).

I would suggest going elsewhere. Where? Anywhere. If you have not been everywhere else, you do not want to go past the flies. What is past the flies is worse. And what is past that is even worse. And what is past that is worse yet again. And what is past that makes the flies look like a walk in the park. And what is past that is, surprise, worse! And then there are many more levels of horribleness past that! That's a hint
