Hi, i am actual lvl 33 and before i had started the game, i was reading all the tips here to ensure maximum proceed in game. I now played for hours and 99% of the time was only grinding. That cannot be.
It cannot be, that i have to grind and farm for hours in order to get a veeeery little bit effort out of it. In the early- and mid-game it takes ages to get a little bit gold, and it always takes ages to gain levels in relation for the time i spend in grinding. That doesnt make fun!!
It cannot be, that (in the early game) i have to grind by running between the bed for health regeneration and the farm spot all the time. Also in the houses where the beds are, you always have to make an annoying parcour session thanks to the npc´s, who often will cross and block your way and causing a dialog window, i dont want to see. Very annoying with time. That doesnt make fun!!
For the early- and mid-game, all the health potions are priced too high since the gold output is far to less. So you have to use beds and make use of auto regeneration and meat, wich means if the health is low you have to stand at a secure spot and wait (2-3 minutes) while doing nothing for health regeneration. This is boring and doesnt make fun!!
I know that there are a bunch of hardcore gamers who likes to grind this way for hours. But i am sure most of the gamers wish for a faster proceed in game. I dont have problem with grinding and farming, but in this game that part is far too much.
So i would recommend, before you bring new areas and quests, please work on a new balancing (or maybe adding a chooseable difficulty level for lets say "casual" players?). It would be nice if the possibility is given for more gold and more expirience, in order for faster game process. At the actual state i slowly get tired more and more of this hourtakin´ little-effort-grinding and if there will be no change, i wont play throug the game and quit. Surely most of the gamers feel the same.

Re: please rebalance the game
What other game has as much possible as AT? I understand you want to be able to progress faster but I dont think that it would help. For example if you found the sword of 'Kills in One Stoke, Everytime' on say level 3 and the armor of 'YouCantTouchThis' at level 4 then the game really would suck because you could finish it in a few hours with no challenge.
That being said, what AT let's you do is play in the same world as as many different characters as you can think up. I.e...the assassin build, defensive build, offensive juggernaut, the health nut, look ma I did it with just hands, or some balance or mix or.....ok you get the idea.
The game play itself lets you choose two basic paths, there are multiple endings to most of the quests. Maybe I'm crazy but between all the items you can buy, win, find or steal(not actually in the game but could be
). Loads of quests, bosses, maps to explore...
I could go on and on but as you have seen already in this forum a lot of players find it fairly full and engaging. I do have one question. You said you came here to get tips before you started playing? That would certainly ruin any fun of not knowing where to go or what to do which is the most awesome part of the game.
Sorry devs, u miss out on that last part

Re: please rebalance the game
Yes, there is a nice potential in this game. Yes, i had come for some tips first, coz i played it a while ago and quit due to spending too much play time, and now i was looking for a faster grow method and some tips, hope thats ok for you.
Sure there are different ways to play and a lot of quests, but thats not the problem for me.^^
The problem is, that it doesnt make fun to me, when i have to grind for hours on the same farmspot for just a little bit growth and when i am strong enough, repeating same hour-takin´ grinding on the next better farmspot, till i am strong enough and...
Just need to say that i dont want to spend so much lifetime (for monotone all-the-same-grinding) into a phone game, even if its a nice "roguelikish" rpg. And i believe that most of the gamers do feel the same and dont want to pay this much time into the game.
A little bit less grinding, and all will be ok. That have nothing to do with godmode play.^^ Got it?

Re: please rebalance the game
I understand your points and I think ideas are in the works to reduce some of the early-game grinding & add more quests during the first stages of the game. Hopefully you've seen some of those thoughts & plans in the forum. I will say that it's rare that I sit down for a long session of dedicated game play, and that I find the grinding element conducive to a mobile device game. I suspect the majority of my XP were gained while I was in an elevator, going through airport security, or waiting for my food in a restaurant.

Re: please rebalance the game
The new content that is under development is going to enhance balance on various levels and increments. I believe that it's fair to say that even upon the next release, someone will find something to be lacking, or insufficient for their taste or desire.
Essentially, it could be quite easily viewed that this game's availability at this stage (and free of cost, unnecessary permissions, IAP's, or any form of advertising), is, and has been the author and creator's invitation to the player to be able to take part in the decisions, development, and final outcome, of what Andor's Trail will be.
I don't know in what other areas or approaches, letting the player know up front from the beginning, that this game is a work in progress, can be conveyed more clearly.

One of even fewer...
