Shield Suggestions

Pleaae suggest me the best shields to get in game with minimum lower penalties.

Shield slot is the only thing left that I need to fill up.

I am looking to boost further my BC but so far couldn't make up my mind on which to choose as I don't want to lower other attributes too much for BC gain.

What do you guys suggest ??

My fav: Black Defender. Good stats, nice status effect.
Love it, but needs grinding.

Another option I like is the guynmart shield. Similar, but other status effect (don't like the trigger as much).

My favourite is superior iron shield. If you are an early level player, it will be best for you. Getting to stoutford is easy, once you are able to kill anklebitters. There you can buy this. Later switch it with Guynmart or Remgard shield. But that will hve to wait for some time.

.........or you could forget about a shield, and "Dual Wield" weapons - two Brutal Clubs can do a lot of damage, (70-120 for my lvl 65 player).

There really is no "Best" way in AT.

Dual wield is not very good early on though. You need to get the appropriate skills to get the most out of it.

You could look at the Trident dagger though. It's a parrying weapon (the only one, so far), and acts as a shield, not a weapon.

Yup. Not possible for me to venture outside the initial areas at Level 9. The superior iron shield definitely looks promising compared to what other merchants are selling.

I am planning a high BC build with at least a +15 AD strike.

You'll need a lot more than 15 AD. I'd say at least 20.
