A little help

Post by DeltaKnight »

could someone provide me with a guide or a map for remgard? i always get killed by the monsters from the ones in blue robes to the strage monesters there with that condition what lower damage resistance. on the carpets (i were level 22 when got killed)(forgot their name) i'm asking because i started a new acount and after blackwater and some grinding i'm going there...

Also, what is better for leveling (considering some wins that don't require to many bonemeals) the blackwater mountain or the gargoyle cave?

;) Iqhan cave and those nasty things in rainbow colored robes.. you mean.. If you can not beat them, don't go in the road to Remgard..... The road start in front of Iqhan cave, just go east, south and....

they are both great for grinding

BWM: You can collect Minor Potions of Speed and the XP is good

Gargoyle Cave: The chance of getting a RoLS is always nice, but the XP is lower than what you can gain on BWM.

The Gargoyle cave is also good for getting regular potions of health. In fact, you should consider grinding just to get a bunch of those before heading up to BWM. The minor potions of speed are great though (the snowman looking monsters are the ones that drop them).

Depends on how many times you can attack, personally I hate BWM unless I can hit atleast 3 times. A JoF and Fencing blade I would suggest or get combat speed. And in any case a RoL is the best. I never made it to Remgard until I had a RoL. Its possible to do below lvl 40 if you have 500 potions (don't quote me, but itz ruff).

My lvl 22 build finally made it to Remgard! Unfortunately he got there relying on save-cheating and hit and run tactics only...
Hey guys, I'm back.

How did you get past the plaguestriders?! In any case that is quite impressive.

First post on the forum, although i admittedly spend almost as much time on here as i do in the actual game. I love A.T. for the fact that it provides so many options and strategies for various character builds and the extent of the game, although it is still in development, seems to be vast enough to suck you in and hold your attention, which is great since maintenance of attention is one of my deficiencies. I struggled at first breaking out of the fallhaven area, but managed through the gruelingly repetitive up and downs of BWM to accomplish the quests therein, and now find myself regrettably without direction. I was curious if it's normal, considering the current development of the game, for characters around level 25 to be rather aimless, without any particular quest to motivate them to venture down that notorious path to remgard, as it doesn't seem as though there are any quests along the way. Aside from Iqhuan cave, is there any item drops or new places to discover that would give me purpose aside from just buckling down and grinding out the levels i need to head toward remgard? I enjoy grinding but much prefer the structure that questing provides.

You can start by doing the quests east of Loneford that were introduced in 0.6.11. I did those at level 27 and they would likely gain you the experience needed to make the trek up to Remgard. Also there is an interesting item given depending on what side you choose (good/evil).The road to Remgard has various extra tough monsters that drop Oegyth Crystals that currently have no function but should when the larger cities are created, or at least so says an NPC in Remgard. There are several quests in Remgard though, and a few that yield very useful items in the game. It will be a back and forth trip similar to BWM/Prim quests but will keep you moving for quite awhile. Just getting to Remgard alone would be challenge in its own right. I finished all the 0.6.11 quests at level 32 and as long as you have the right equipment for the right monsters, you should be able to do it as well.
