I would like to implement a system of hunger. Carrots, pears, mushrooms ... are nearly useless because they don't heal you much, so everyone prefers potions. If we released such a system, you would have to buy some cheap meat, vegetables or fruits to have a nice meal. If you don't eat anything, you're getting weaker over the time.
Up to now, there hasn't been released a in-game time, so we have to take an actorcondition with certain chance of getting hungry.
Or we code it like this: The more you kill monsters, the more you're becoming hungry.

I'm not so sure about my stattement of releasing a hunger system. Do you have any ideas on developing that topic?

In the game GTA San Andreas, your chr gets hungry if you don't eat.. He begins to lose weight and even health after awhile... I always thought that was cool... maybe an actor condition " hunger " - X amount of hp per round until you eat..

I like the idea of hunger system.. How about if it are baced on step counter and there are some (groving) penalty if you do not eat anything. Like...after xxx step you got penalty -10% to all stats and in cace of HP it reduces max hp.. and after another xxx step it goes to -20%...

I also like to change current sleeping system to something more like bed and breakfast. You got free lunch only in your home anywhere else it cost something..

I'm not a fan of Hunger being added into the game due to the fact that there is no consept of time in the world of A.T.

it's always bright and sunny in the world of A.T. and the grass is always green. :)

Personally, I don't think hunger systems would be very successful in a world with no time. Perhaps, to make food more useful, they should give beneficial actor conditions instead. Fruit can add to your max hp, meat can add to your AD, and milk can add +1 damage resistancee (calcium, toughens bones). Mead can give you an interesting drunk actor condition, adding to BC (stumbling around makes you harder to hit) and lowering AC.

Seems we have well established there will be no concept of time in AT, and thus a hunger system will not work... as for any other ideas with food, I believe they are working on a " heal over time " system lol no pun intended ;)
