Plated gloves

I used to use the Troublemaker's Gloves a lot, but switched for the nifty status effect.

1) Fine snakeskind gloves
2) Troublemaker's gloves
3) Arulir skin gloves
4) Heavy plated gloves

not sure yet, but as i have just seen the new mobs, i will go back to my AC/damage/QSD build, so probably Fine Gloves of Swift Attack; but i might add some BC in there.
(just because QSD has -20 BC doesn't mean one shouldn't build a BC character around it.)

Just noticed I'm still using the Troublemaker's gloves even though I don't currently have any critical weapons equipped. But it's still the best among the gloves that boost both AC & BC that I have in my inventory.

Gloves of Life Force (GoLF)
Boost max HP: 9
Attack chance: 5%
Block chance: 3%

Troublemaker's gloves
Attack chance: 7%
Block chance: 4%
Critical hit chance: 4%
Raise max HP +1

Guard's Gloves
Attack chance: 3%
Block chance: 5%
Raise max HP +3

To compare these items let's compare the values of each glove's individual stats and how they improve or impact your stats negatively.

First, we should trust the programmers that they have balanced the basic stats of the game.
1 level:
+5 hp
+1 damage
+3 bc
+5 ac

Let's also assume that should your build change the importance of these stats that the value of a stat may become more or less valuable.
And finally, the value of a skill point has been determined to be...
+2 ad (2 levels)
+9 bc (3 levels)
+12 ac (2.4 levels)
So it would seem the value of a skill point averages to roughly 2.5 levels. Obviously, +2 ad isn't too impressive so a skill point may actually be worth more.

Gloves of Life Force (GoLF)
Boost max HP: 9 = 1.8 levels
Attack chance: 5% = 1 level
Block chance: 3% = 1 level
Item level= 3.8


Troublemaker's gloves
Attack chance: 7% = 1.4 levels
Block chance: 4% = 1.33 levels
Critical hit chance: 4% = .5 - .6 levels
Item level = 3.2 - 3.3


Guard's Gloves
Attack chance: 3% = .6 levels
Block chance: 5% = 1.4 levels
Raise max HP +3 = .6 levels
Item level= 2.6

*note that skills that alter the usefulness of any stat (ie I.F.) may completely negate or reduce the effectiveness of any stat.
In this case you can see with no need for +hp the GoLF drop in value to
An item level of 2.
I hope this helps anyone decide on which equipment suits them best.

Must cast my vote for the GoLF since at this point they contribute 20% of my total HP. I think they're unappreciated to an extent as I bellieve they're well worth the grind at lower levels. That said, I suspect I'll move to something with a bit more AC/BC oomph once I start leveling up.

If you have light armor proficiency, you should get a pair of Arulir's Gloves, the 1 DR adds more value in your case (in my humble opinion).
