Tis the season to be thankful

Post by The Darc Sentinel »

Greetings fellow thumb war champions, and happy holidays!

If I appear far too merry, blame it on AT, for I was just given my early gift this year (don't tell my wife I like this gift more...)

I have only recently starting playing AT this week, and after a first, horrible build I decided to use the internets for a little guidance. Alas, I discovered this fine establishment; TYVM to all of you! I am onto my second build now after some spoiler-free study here, and the snake cave grind bored me to the brink. Im lvl 17, and the only quest I could do was Lodars Cave... After 3 pillow fights with the catapillars I realised I either needed a lot more potions or better gear and a maybe a few more levels.... I had read in a post about grinding in a gargoyle cave after the snake pit, so I decided to go for just one spoiler to give AT an honest chance at keeping me entertained....

Under 15 minutes in the cave, third complete clearing (I havent killed Maely) and the master I kill last, the one on the steps before Maely, dropped it.

I stared at my phone (after saving) for about 5 minutes in utter disbelief. So, naturally, once i picked my jaw up I registered here and had to say thank you!

Happy Solstice and Holidays!

Welcome to the forums The Darc Sentinel!

Congrats your your luck! That ring is awesome. I got mine aswell a few days back, like an early Christmas present. Only took me ~1100 kills, so I am also considered lucky!

This game is a big grind-feast, much in the early parts, so just hang in there. And level 17 isn't too bad. Also, at many times you want an extremely huge amount of potions in your bag before heading out into the wild.

Merry x-mas

Are we talking 100-500 bonemeal potions on top of dropped reg potions, or more?

I was unable to start a quest before the drop, and this just happened....(spoiler has question for vets as well)
That pompous fool Lleglaris wouldnt let me start a quest for him, do to, as he put it, "lack of experience." Well, I happened to just try and speak to him again, and lo and behold, I have a snarky dialog option to show him my new ring, open the quest and do what he could not! Turns out he's a merchant, And now I have some new worn plated gloves to complement the troublemakers gloves.

Has anyone else stumbled upon an awesome drop after Lleglaris tells you to go out and adventure some more?

I usually sell the regular potions, and only use bonemeal, but yes, we are talking about 100+ maybe even 300. Last time i stocked up on bonemeals i bought 700.

The two adventures I would recommend you getting a huge amount of bonemeals before doing is:
When reaching Remgard and when searching for Lodar
Depending on your build and level you might need over ~200 to feel safe.
