Can someone explain how monster partitions work? I tried reading their description in the the Extraordinary and Legendary Items thread, but I really don't understand how they work. What is defined as a "map" and what is defined as a "respawn area".
Any help appreciated!

Re: Monster Partitions
Map: The map can be accessed from the chest in the bottom right side of the screen. You open it and there is a map. Access it to see it.
A respawn area is the last bed that you slept in. Some examples are your bed in your house, the fallhaven Tavern beds, and the Foaming Flask Tavern.
Ps. Try not to put more than 2 questions into a single topic as some of the questions may get lost in the soup of other questions and never be answered.

Re: Monster Partitions
Hey! Thanks for the reply, but I was talking about "Map" and "Respawn Area" in the context of Monster Partitions. The link I had in my original question provided the following as an example:
Thanks again
I'm not exactly sure what's being referred to here as a map and a respawn area.. Is a map like a room? If so, how do you separate the respawn areas within the room?Example:
Monster partitions: (3+1+1+1) + (1+1) + (3+1+1+1)
The first map has 4 respawn areas. The first can respawn up to 3 monsters all others can only respawn 1 monster.
The second map has 2 respawn areas. They both can only respawn 1 monster.
The third map has 4 respawn areas. The first can respawn up to 3 monsters all others can only respawn 1 monster.
Thanks again

Re: Monster Partitions
Hello,
A map is a game area that you can walk on continuously. For example, when you enter a house, you change form map "outside" to map "house".
On each map, there is a number of non visible areas we call map objects that have different effects : transport you to a new map, offer you to rest in a bed, show you a message... spawn areas is the one kind defining where, which, and how many mobs should spawn. In the post you reference, seeing (2 + 1) means that there is one area spawning two mobs and one spawning one.
Hope it makes sense to you now.
