i was thinking of dropping points into the criticals skills since i've not leveled up there. but yes, come to think about it, having Cleave and higher AD would make higher damage in battles, especially against higher level monsters. , i missed out that point
I agree with Tek, if you're going to level up your critical hit, stick with More Criticals and skip Better Criticals, unless as a requirement for some other skill. The multiplier will get boosted when you level up your AD, so the focus should be on ECC.
Either way, for a critical build or Quick strike build, you mainly want to level up your AD & AC.
Hey draven! You are correct, I have now have 2 points dedicated to Combat Speed and along with the Jewel, now have 4 attacks per round. It is helping to clear the way, but there are times I wish I had devoted the 3 skill points needed for Cleave because I have encountered places (like in the Iqhan caves) where 3 opponents are unavoidable. As it stands, I won’t get Cleave until lvl 36, and with my 40% block change, I take a beating unless I end the conflict early.
Mino, your skill strategy is great! I will follow that guide on my next build. I too believe in Attack Chance and More Criticals (vs Better)… you have got to land the hits! Every level up, I have to really justify if there is a valid reason to not add another 5% to AC. It really hurts to get 15% in BC so I can get Bark Skin at lvl 40. That is giving up 25% AC, and I still don’t know if Bark Skin will be worth it since by the time I am lvl 40, the opponents will surely be dishing out more damage than they are now so how much will that 1 to damage resistance really help?
This is my first build, and I am pleased, but there are so many skills I would love to develop and now the levels are coming slower…
Thanks for all the helpful posts, this is a great community!

From my experiance getting bark skin early on can be VERY helpful for your build but later on in the game DR becomes less useful because NPCs can do a lot more damage.
In total on an all out DR build you can get up to a DR of 14, so with a lot of time and energy you can get DR to be pretty rediculous, but it takes a looooong loooooong time to get there.
